Prison Ministry

Since 2001, a select group of men from our fold have served as mentors in the Life Connections program at the United States Penitentary at Leavenworth. Our men help serve the spiritual and religious needs of inmates by visiting with them every other Tuesday and conducting one-one-one mentoring sessions where encouragement, advice, and wisdom are shared.
The purpose of this program is to assist inmates in their spiritual walk, to help them function and flourish back into society. As relationships are formed, basic life-skills, family relationship and conflict resolution skills are taught and reinforced through the sharing of the mentor’s life coupled with spiritual experiences in a Christ-centered setting. Some of the topics covered in the program are:
- Being a Christian Father/Husband
- Managing emotions
- Growing in faith
- Being part of the Community
We work alongside the prison chaplains, spiritual guides, and other volunteers ministering at USP Leavenworth.
LANSING STATE PRISON - Lansing, KS
We also work with the staff at Lansing State Prison in Lansing, KS to address the spiritual needs of inmates there specifically targeting those that are due to be released back into society soon.

Men's Ministry

The Bread of Life Men’s Ministry, "Men of Action” meets once every second Friday for "food, fellowship, and foundation". Our aim is to empower our men to serve in various areas of ministry and to reinforce solid biblical foundations and community service activities.
Open candid discussions are used to bring to the forefront critical issues that impact Christian men (family, marriage, fatherhood,
work, ministry, balancing the struggles of a godly man, etc). Men are taught to use problem-solving techniques and critical thinking to become "Men of Action".
Youth Ministry
Youth Bible study classes are held each Wednesday night at 7:00 pm for grades K through 12. These classes are purposed and driven to reinforce the foundational and essential qualities of a modern day young Christian. Being more focused on basic instructions, Wednesday night bible study provides a more structured and traditional presentation of scripture.
In addition to weekly youth Bible study classes, our teenage youth group performs community outreach events and participates in church fundraising and volunteer service events.
